TEE-BALL
Welcome to the Recreation Department’s Tee-Ball program!
Program Information
Tee-ball for kindergarteners in South Hadley. The goal of the program is to introduce the kids to the basic gross motor skills involved with tee-ball in a fun, positive environment. The main emphasis will be on throwing and catching skills. New this year: kids will be placed on small teams and play actual games.
When: Season will in late April/early May and will go until the end of the school year
Where: Mosier School tee-ball field (furthest from the school).
How to register: Each participant must register with the Recreation Department.
Suggestions: The following are important for your child to enjoy the program:
· Wear loose fitting clothing.
· Apply sun screen prior to arrival.
· Wear a hat to shade the face.
· Bring a water bottle with child’s name on it.
· Wear sneakers or cleats (no boots or sandals).
· Baseball gloves are not required (safety balls are used) however, they can still use them.
Cancellations: Please call 538-5005 for a recorded message when the weather is bad. If there is heavy rain, the program will be cancelled.
