Welcome to the Recreation Department’s Girls' Soccer program!
Program Information
Several different soccer options exist for South Hadley Recreation participants. Please review each to decide which is best for your child:
Grades K-2: These divisions are co-ed and will begin play in early September. The cost is $25 and each player will receive a tee shirt. Expect to play two times per week.
Grades 3/4: This division is split up by gender and will begin play in early September. The cost is $25 and each player will receive a tee shirt. Teams will practice/play 2-3 times per week.
Grades 5-8: These divisions are split up into 5/6th and 7/8th and will play in the Chicopee league which travels to Chicopee, Holyoke, Belchertown and a few other adjoining towns. The cost is $40 and players will receive a soccer shirt. Your coach will contact you in late August/early September for your first practice. The season should run until the end of October with the teams meeting 2-4 times per week.
PVJSL Travel: The Pioneer Valley Junior Soccer League is the most competitive soccer league available under the Recreation Department. Teams should expect to play/practice 3-5 times per week and will travel throughout parts of Western Massachusetts. The registration period has been extended until June 16; however teams will close when they reach 18 players. This is for children in grades 5-8 and teams are broken up by age group. The cost is $65.
