Welcome to the South Hadley Recreation DARE Basketball Program!
Program Information
Registrations for 2009-10 season: Monday, September 14 though late November
Dare Basketball is the Recreation Department’s high school intramural basketball program. The boys play in-town against other South Hadley teams and the girls may play in town or they will compete in a league with some minimal travel (depends on total amount of registrants). Anybody in grades 9-12 is eligible to participate, except for members of the high school freshman, JV, or varsity basketball teams.
Ages: High School Boys and Girls Leagues (grades 9-12)
Instructors/Coaches: If you are interested in coaching, please contact the Recreation Department
Registration Dates: September 14 through late November
Practices/Games: Most of the games will be played on Saturday and Sunday; however there may be a few games on weeknights. Home games will be played at SHHS or the Michael E. Smith Middle School. Practices will begin in mid-December and games will start in January. Play should go to early/mid March.
Sponsors: We are soliciting sponsors once again this year to keep user fees to a minimum. If you know someone that would be interested in sponsoring your team this season, have them contact the Recreation Department.
