It's another busy week at the library, with some terrific public
programs scheduled:
On Monday, September 21 at 6:30 author Samantha Wylde will be talking
about her new book THIS LITTLE MOMMY STAYED HOME. Join us for a
discussion and book signing with this new voice in contemporary fiction.
A summary of the book: New mom Joy McGuire hasn't changed her sweatpants
since her baby was born. Of course she's crazy about her newborn son;
it's her distracted, work-obsessed husband and his impossible mother she
can't stand. With no support from her mom forthcoming, she counts on a
little sleep, sanity, and chocolate to fix all her problems--until her
old college boyfriend shows up at their ten-year reunion, a sexy yoga
instructor turns her insides aflutter, and her husband goes missing!
Motherhood's wonderful, but why does it have to be one hilarious crisis
after another? Copies of Sam's book will be available to purchase.
On Wednesday, September 23 at 6:30 enjoy a demonstration of French food
preparation with local culinary aficionado Larry Fuller. Larry will
prepare Julia Child's recipe for Salade Nicoise and recommend
accompanying beverages. Participants are encouraged to bring their own
French recipes to share and to spend some time remembering Julia Child.
Both programs are free and open to the public. The South Hadley Public
Library is located at 27 Bardwell Street; for more information call the
library at 538-5045.
We hope to see you there!
