What hours are you open?
The Recycling Center is open every Wednesday and Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm.
The Compost area is open every Wednesday and Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm. Residents may bring grass, leaves, brush and logs (no stumps) to the area during those times. Check the website to find when extra Fridays are added in sping and fall. Yard waste is also collected curbside for one month each in spring and fall, and collection dates will be posted on the website. Anything left at the compost area other than leaves, grass, brush and logs is considered illegal dumping and violators will be fined.
What do I do with my Christmas Trees?
Christmas trees may be brought to the compost area located next to the landfill. The DPW also collects trees at the curb during the month of January. Please be patient as weather conditions can interfere with this collection.

Where can I bring my household hazardous waste?
Household Hazardous Waste collections are held annually. The next two collections for 2010 will be May 22nd and November 6th at the DPW yard at 10 Industrial Drive.
What do I do with old paint?
The Recycling Center has a seasonal paint collection/swap program which runs form May to November. Check the website for start/end dates. Latex paint may be dried out (pop the lid to expose to the air or fill can with kitty litter) and the empty cans put in the scrap metal bay in the Recycling Center. Oil-based paints must be brought to the center when the paint program is open.

Where can I get a recycling bin?
The DPW offices and Recycling Center offer free green recycling bins. The DPW offices are open Monday-Friday from 8 am to 4 pm, and the Recycling Center is open Wednesdays & Saturdays from 8 am to 3 pm.
How do I get rid of old mattresses?
You may bring them to the Recycling Center; fees apply.
