Town of South Hadley, Massachusetts
Business Recycling
Does your business want to start or improve its recycling program?  South Hadley's recycling program welcomes businesses, and the DPW is here to help!

Why recycle?  Since 1989, South Hadley by-laws have required that all residents, including businesses, recycle.  Recycling saves the Town money, reduces reliance on disposal facilities, prevents pollution and conserves our natural resources.

If you're a small or home-based business, recycling in South Hadley can be as easy as joining the Town-sponsored  curbside recycling program. If you generate 10 barrels or less of trash every two weeks, you can use the Town curbside recycling and trash program.  If you aren't sure whether or not your business is eligible, please call the DPW at 538-5033.  If you are eligible, you pay a yearly fee and prepare the materials according to the requirements of the program.  Larger businesses can also readily recycle in South Hadley through the Recycling Center, which has an extensive year-round drop-off recycling program.  The Recycling Center is located at 10 Industrial Drive, and is open every Wednesday and Saturday from 8 AM to 3 PM.  ALL businesses may bring recyclable items to the Center.

For more information about business recycling, please call or stop by the DPW  to request a copy of the South Hadley Business Recyclopedia.  Or feel free to call or email the Solid Waste Coordinator at (413) 538-5033 or shrecycle@comcast.net.
