Kathleen G. Hawkins donated this 2-acre parcel to the town in 1977, in memory of her husband, Mount Holyoke College Professor Everett D. Hawkins. This area is a bird sanctuary, with the best access being from Silver Street. Most of the area is forested wetland, with a stream flowing through it as well.
